January 2, 201610 yr Just upgraded my system to Windows 10. When I opened File Explorer to the Network section, I see all my PC's, but do not see either of my unRaid servers. Any experience/ideas on what could be causing that? From windows 7, saw the server without a problem. Windows 10, I can only see the servers if I type \\Hunternas. How File explorer starts up: When I type \\hunternas...then it shows up! And when I type the second server \\hunternas2...then it shows up! I've double checked the SMB settings. All looks well... What am I missing? Is this a known issue with Windows 10? Thanks in advance...
January 2, 201610 yr Yes known issue with 10 and to a lesser extent 8 as well. Folks claim adding registry key fixes it (not for me), disabling SMB versions, etc, etc. Me I just opened Tower and from there added it to Quick Access section of File Manager.
January 2, 201610 yr I have never managed to get any windows version (XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10) to consistently recognize all other networked computers (unRaid or Windows for that matter). Inherent flaw in Windows
