January 2, 201610 yr I have been playing with Openelec in a vm and have been disappointed. The reason being that I am not getting the HD audio track. If I disable passthrough in kodi, I get sound, with passthrough on, I do not. I just started with KVM in unRAID, so my knowledge is limited to the ins and outs, but I am assuming the GPU is automatically passed through and I do not need to edit the sylink.cfg file the way it is needed to pass through a NIC or controller. If that is the case, what does it mean for my sound card? It is not discrete and I am using the video card, but still it is listing as a separate device. In the config, I can select GPU and soundcard, even though technically they are one device. Do I need the sound card in the sylink.cfg or is this issue something else? If it helps, the readout on my receiver jumps to no signal when passthrough is on. I still get video, but no sound. Turn it off, the receiver says it is getting a signal, but it is not the HD audio track.
