January 3, 201610 yr Recently, a user had a problem with the naming of shares. The issue can be found in this short thread: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=45167.0 I am requesting that down in the share section of 'Renaming User Shares', 'Parameters', 'Share Names' of the UnRAID 6 Manual, you add a sentence cautioning users NOT to name shares with identical names except for capitalization (e.g., 'Backup' and 'backup' as an example). This can cause problems with cross-OS-platform access to the shares so named as some OS's ignore capitalization.
January 4, 201610 yr I recently ran into this issue..did not find that post you pasted (nor did I look to be frank)...good reading! I had created a share called Movies to use with a docker and already had a share called movies for my movie storage and it caused some issues with iTunes and apple tv. Eliminated one of the shares and all those issues went away. I wasn't paying attention when i created the second share. So it definitely happens (even accidentally), so i can see a reason for adding something to the manual.
