I was seeing if there was an android app to access the shares on unraid server.  So far the only way I've found is setting up an owncloud server and using the owncloud app but looking to see if there are any other ways.

I use AndSMB, but if you search the playstore for SMB, you'll find tons

Thanks for the input.  I suppose if I wanted to access the files over the internet I'd want to go the route of setting up a VPN to connect my device to?

I used Astro File manager. But I'm wondering, I wanted to copy files from one spot to another with the app, but it seems to have to go through my phone. Any way you know of to keep content on the server, do the copy, and never hit the phone?
