October 16, 200916 yr Hey guys, just upgraded to the latest 4.5 beta and my server didn't want to boot, anymore. Only then I remembered that I had had this problem before and that I somehow had solved it, I just couldn't remember how. When upgrading to the latest beta, I made the "mistake" to also overwrite the memtest and syslinux.cfg files. I remembered my problem had something to do with that. After (unsuccessfully) trying all the various tips on how to make USB sticks boot, I almost gave up trying "blind" (no graphics card in my Lime tower) and was just starting to consider spending some serious time to install a graphics card etc. But then I did a last test and it fixed the problem for me: I just simplified the syslinux.cfg to this: default Lime label Lime kernel bzimage append initrd=bzroot rootdelay=10 Problem solved. Don't know if this is useful for anybody else. But I thought I'd mention just another potential fix for USB stick boot problems. Don't know what exactly caused the non-boot, due to no graphics card installed. But I'm just happy I got it booting again!
