Asus DSL-AC68U Router - Unraid speed. really need help.

Featured Replies

Hi,

Really help needed. I am very sad now.

I am using a cable TV internet at home. I had no issue with my home network but my cable modem has broken down and I decided to buy a new modem and a proper router for home with a good wifi.

I have checked forums and see that people are happy with Asus RT-AC68U. I have bought one now but in our country model is DSL version so its called DSL-AC68U. So i couldn't install merlin Firmware :(. In anyway I have no problem with Internet-network or Wifi.

My main problem is DL speed for Unraid. I was getting 110Mb/s DL and 110Mb/s UL with my old basic router.

Now interestingly UL to unraid servis is still 110mb/s but when i get a file speed varies betweek 70 to 100 MB/S which i couldn't understand why.

Is there any specific setting i can do from router setting to get the proper speed as before.

Both my computer and Unraid tower connected to DSL-AC68U directly with very high quality CAT6 cable where i was getting maximum setting for years before :(

Are you writing the file to parity protected array? If so then it's probably just limited by disk I/O.

This is the funny part. As I have cache disks writing speed is always 110mbs and never goes down. But when i am getting files to my computer it slows down lower than 70mbs. It was always 110MBS before.

Is there anything that you can recomment? NAT - JUMBO etc. ? to make any setting from router or Unraid to have my old speed back?

What are the source and target system specs (CPU, OS, HDD, SSD)?
