[REQUEST] - unRAID SSH access via Docker container

Featured Replies

In my never ending quest to eliminate the tools I use to manage unRAID, I saw dmacias Shell in a Box plugin and thought what an awesome idea (http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=42683.0).

However, being I like to avoid plugins whenever possible, can the same be achieved in a container?  Or, is the network topology between the host and Docker going to be an issue?

Anyway, I see a few Shell in a Box dockerfiles on github and dockerhub.  Anyone willing to take a shot?  :)

I cannot see much point to this being run as a docker as it seems to me all it would give you is access to the file system inside the docker container whereas what you really want is access to the unRAID command line?  In most cases one can run a ssh system from a remote system, but the plugin allow you to do it from any system capable of supporting  browser.

That is what I wasn't sure about.  I didn't know if there was a way to manage unRAID from within a container given the network topology.
