January 9, 201610 yr Hello, I am not sure if I am posting in correct part of forum, but was not able to see new topic in Ver 4 and older. I am trying to add a 3TB drive and have it replace my 2TB parity drive that I am currently using. I installed the drive and added it to the array, but when I take the array and start it I am able to assign it, but it does not come up or ask to format it. How do I pre-clear the drive? Do I need to Upgrade to Ver 6? Thank you in advance, Oscar
January 9, 201610 yr You have to be using at least v5 if you want to use drives larger than 2TB. If you system is 64-bit capable then you should go to v6. If it is only 32-bit capable then v5 is the version to use.
January 9, 201610 yr Author Thanks for quick reply. Ok I am running 64 bit. Can I jump from ver4.6 to Ver 6 and not loose anything? What steps do I need to take to make the upgrade?
January 9, 201610 yr Only other thing I'd add is if you're using a free version of 4.6 you may find you need to purchase a license to upgrade to V6. If you've already got a license then you're all good, will still be valid.
January 10, 201610 yr Author Yes I have the Pro Version of 4.6, but only had 21 drives, will it be valid for new pro version?
