October 19, 200916 yr Anyone using HTTP Daemon to server files to Popcorn hour versus SMB or NFS? NFS is faster but seems to be unstable. NMT's like the PCH have known issues with SMB Performance. some folks seem to be using apache or IIS an alternate way to stream media to there NMT's. Is this easilly doable on unraid? Anyone actually doing this? Thanks, Sean
October 20, 200916 yr Never needed to use HTTP, SMB works just fine. Unraid is more than capable of delivering 40Mb/s and I dont have any real world samples that get above 20Mb/s.

NMT's like the PCH have known issues with SMB Performance. what is the PCH's "known" issue with SMB? I use samba to stream all my content, including 1080p HD to my PCH and it works fine. I have llink running on my unRaid box, but the stock interface is sluggish so I went back to using samba until I get my movie jukebox up and running. NFS used to be faster on the PCH, but it is pretty much the same as samba these days with the firmware updates.
October 20, 200916 yr Samba is OK to a C-200 under certain circumstances -- i.e. my hardware works with Samba, it's all I use with my C-200. Samba is not fast enough to an A-110 when streaming high bitrate Blu-ray discs (1:1 rips, not shonky recodes). I use llink to stream to the A-110.

Yes to both A few ways to approach but I'll give the 2 easiest ways. Llink..very easy to install and get running. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=3550.0 unRaid Web..this is what I'm using now. Also easy but it will take a little manual configuration of the lighttp conf file. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=3354.0 Cheers db
