October 20, 200916 yr Can I use a cache drive without having any users defined? My UnRaid is setup with just disks and directories that I use, and I really don't want to mess with users, but have a new HDD that I'd like to through in as a cache drive. Just don't know if it will work. thanks, dave
October 20, 200916 yr Sure, I guess... it will show up as the share "cache". If you have user shares enabled, the mover script will automatically move the data on cache disk to the appropriate user share. If not, the data just sits there unprotected...
October 20, 200916 yr Author OK that makes sense. The "real" value is the mover script, which does require user shares. thanks, dave

I am using user-shares & I don't have any users defined.
