couple of basic docker Q's

Featured Replies

Upgrading the docker engine?  as simple as removing and recreating a new image then reloading my containers right?

I notice and have been using the community apps for Docker,  is unRAID's implementation of docker standard?  should I be able to use any docker file or only the community app ones?  I get that they have some basics setup already to be easier in unRAID,  but that is stuff I can do with any docker container right?

Thanks for any info.

Not sure what you mean by upgrading the docker engine. You should probably consider the docker service itself as part of the unRAID OS. This OS actually runs entirely in RAM and unpacks fresh from flash into RAM each time it boots so you can't upgrade that.

The only thing the unRAID Docker page is really doing for you is giving you a form to fill in parameters of the docker run command so you can run other dockers besides the community ones.
