January 19, 201610 yr See screenshot. This is my PlexMediaServer directory. I am upgrading to a 500GB SSD drive that I wanted to put the plex library, app and transcode on.... What is the real size, they are drastically different? Am I going to run out of space?
January 20, 201610 yr Use in console which show you exactly how much space there is and used space on your machine for each drive. df -h Or simply use the main tab in your webGUI. However why windows is showing such a HUGE difference is kinda mind boggling. for a quick break down of a folder/Drive/Share du -ch /Destination/ | grep total
January 20, 201610 yr My plex folder is almost the same, as shown in windows. I guess it's something to do with the fact there are 700000 files in it..... some of which are actually links to other files.
January 20, 201610 yr .... some of which are actually links to other files. That sounds very likely. The links themselves are small but if the sizes of the files to which they point are being counted instead, that would explain a discrepancy.
