Permissions / can't delete files

Featured Replies

So today my unraid stopped working (could still connect, just didn't do anything a few times and I had to do unclean reboots.  I also ran out of room on my main hard drive (not in the unraid box) and had to delete temp files, etc.

I don't' know if either of these are important, just good to let you know :)

So, now most of the files I have worked with today can not be deleted off the unraid server.  Either it lets me delete them, i hit refresh, and their back - or i get a permission denied box.

Since unRaid controls the file permissions, I'm unable to modify them in any way in windows.  How do I correct this?

More information:

I am unable to perform a clean shutdown.  When i stop the raid, I can no longer access it from the network

Need to system log.

One way to get the log is to type "//tower/log/syslog" into your browser.  (Use your server name instead of 'tower').

I will do this when i get home.  I'm assuming I should try deleting it, then pull the log right?

I just remembered i am now running the newest beta as of halfway through yesterday as well.  I only upgraded because it kept disconnecting and i was unable to do a clean shut down, so i went from one beta version back to the newest.  I'll post logs around 8 tonight (sorry, should have posted them this morning)

So it let me do a clean shut down finally, and it resolved everything.
