Tried to install this docker.  I'm getting this error:

Here's what I show under deployed host ports when trying to install:

Don't see why I'm getting this error.  Any suggestions?

Stop your deluge container before you try to start delugevpn.

Oh goodness, I feel dumb now.  I completely forgot I still had that one running!  Thanks for pointing that out!

hmm ok so this could be the same issue, but for the tun module too, right for now i will remove the exit, as it was loading ok even without the module being present, i wouldn't expect it to run without this module tbh, but hey maybe the host is loading it JUST before it requires it, i do have some retries in place so this might be why it works, try a pull down of the image in about 2 hours from now.

Thanks binhex! I've just updated this docker and it's working perfectly now

So I am having a very odd issue that I am hoping fill fix itself now as I feel as though I have tried everything... I have now re installed unRAID and the issue persists. :'( Whenever I add a torrent to Deluge it begins to download, speeds up as usual then slows down until it stalls only seconds later... checking the downloads folder show no data has been downloaded. I have played with every setting imaginable so I'm sure I'm just being an idiot.

I am using binhex-delugevpn with Private Internet Access. This issue started yesterday. I have been playing around with downloaders like Couch Potato but after removing every trace of those I could find and even re-installing the OS and re-configuring unRAID I am at a loss...

Please help!

you've chopped off the really useful bit at the start of this log :-(, but from the above it looks like its a successful start, my guess would be that you have incorrectly set the folders and thus deluge cannot write to disk, please can you post a screenshot of the deluge webui showing preferences/downloads screen.

Thanks binhex! I've just updated this docker and it's working perfectly now

I can also confirm this update has fixed the issue on startup too. :)

@dultcers yep as suspected its a path issue, change all references to "Downloads" to "data" in the deluge ui, you dont have a volume mapping of "/Downloads".

note - the path is case sensitive so make sure its lowercase "data"

That was it! Maybe that was too simple... lol. Thanks binhex!

So I am just setting this up for the first time and only getting one error and not sure if it is working or not.

The error is:

Options error: Unrecognized option or missing or extra parameter(s) in [CMD-LINE]:1: config (2.4.0)

I included the log file.

Thanks in advance for any help.

no that isnt a successful start, im pretty confident the issue is with the name of the ovpn config file, its currently

Texas, Houstan-udp.ovpn

please remove the comma, if possible remove the space too and use a hyphen, so "texas-houston-udp.ovpn" would be a better filename.

Does this docker version of deluge allow us to specify the file permissions chmod of the downloaded torrents?

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

This is now possible, by default the umask is 000, if you want to change this then please create an environment variable with a key name of "UMASK" and the 3 digit umask of the value you want.

I'd refresh the docker too, just in case you have a bunch of semi downloaded files in your /Downloads directory inside your docker image

So, after yesterdays update to both SickRage and Deluge, SickRage is no longer able to connect to Deluge.  Both are using binhex's version of the containers.  Anyone else seeing "2017-03-08 15:53:18 Thread-26 :: [41d7d9d] Request failed: No JSON object could be decoded" when SickRage tries to send a torrent over to Deluge since the update?  Was hoping the Deluge container update today would have fixed the issue, but no luck. I've already tried destroying the dockers and then rebuilding them from template.  Haven't gone the full nuclear option yet and blown away all dockers, docker.img file, and rebuild, but I think this is more of an API issue between programs and not the dockers themselves.  Let me know if it's the software or the dockers, or my stuff is just borked. Thanks!

Thanks, no error this time!

But just want to make sure its working if you don't mind. here is a new logfile

supervisord.log

Hey there

Sorry I wasn't clear, I did not mean to suggest that deluge would stop working, just that it's using space in your docker image file for nothing.

Since the "/Downloads" path was not mapped to a drive on your server, everything that was downloaded there by deluge stayed inside the docker container.  I'm suggesting that you redeploy the docker to wipe that data.  You could also just delete the files as follow:

docker exec -it binhex-delugevpn bash
rm -r /Downloads/*

This is now possible, by default the umask is 000, if you want to change this then please create an environment variable with a key name of "UMASK" and the 3 digit umask of the value you want.

Thanks for implementing this. I seem to be having some trouble with it though. I set the umask to 777 with the puid of 99 and the pgid of 100 (the defaults) but when adding torrent files to deluge it fails. Any suggestions on what I should change?

That looks ok to me, tbh if you can view the webui then you have a tunnel running, you will of course now have to figure out how your vpn provider handles port forwarding :-).

if you want a bit more reassurance click on link in sig to vpn docker faq and look at DelugeVPN Docker FAQ Q3.

a umask of 777 means you are removing all permissions for newly created files, im assuming what you really want to do is the reverse of this right and set rwx for user and group, if so then thats the default value (000).

But i dont think this is your issue, you mention you cant add torrent files to deluge, how exactly does it fail?, screenshot would be good, also supervisord.log file.
