USB bluetooth in VM

Featured Replies

So. Time for another question from me. I finally got my VM working, but is it impossible to use bluetooth in a VM?

I have a integrated bluetooth module on my MB which i can select as USB device in the VM manager. I can install the driver for the hardware, and i am able to se a lot of bluetooth devices in windows. But as soon i try to connect to my bluetooth keyboard, it simply wont connect. Sometimes it does, but stops working after a few minutes.

I even went down buying a new USB bluetooth dongle, which i am also able to pass through to the VM (did clean install between so no drivers interference), but its the same. Its like the hardware isn't fully passed through? What am i doing wrong.

Help a noob.. Thanks guys.

The only advice I have for testing is, did you try the method using XHCI?

You'd have to edit the XML manually, but worth a shot.

Guide is stickied in this forum, or here http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=41922.0

Hmm.. Tried this, but every time i saved, the code was overridden when i went into the xml code again. I solved this problem by buying a 2,4ghz keyboard and skipping the bluetooth thing.. Thanks by the way..
