SABnzbd version 2.3.8 [0dd1f64].  Using the Servers tab in the UI, I tried to update the password for one of my servers, but the change wouldn't save.  I tried deleting the server so I could re-add, but I was also unable to delete the server.  I was also unsuccessful in clearing the counters via the UI.  I managed to make the password change by directly editing the .ini file, so all is good, but has anyone else had issues like this with the UI?

Yes!

I specifically encountered this issue when trying to "Test" the Server Downloaders"  and even the categories had a problem.  Based on what I could see, Google Chrome was causing the fields to somehow mismatch which resulted in saving the wrong field data to the wrong fields.  As a result, the save would fail because the data it was trying to put into the fields was "Illegal"  I speculated that it might have to do with autofill/remembered data.

When I logged in with Microsoft Edge and did the same activities it worked as expected.  I had a similar experience with the Sonarr/Radarr webui's as well.

Didn't think about the browser, but just tried with Firefox (which is what I use 99% of the time) and the UI seems to work fine.  I must have been using Chrome yesterday.

Now using BinHex docker running SABnzbd 2.3.9 [03c10dc] - appears up-to-date as of this post.  Had to update one of my block providers.  This time, no matter which browser I tried (Firefox, Chrome, Edge, IE), I was unable to update the username or clear the counters via the UI.  I ended up changing the username directly in the .ini file again, but am unable to Test the connection via the UI.  Browsers are all up-to-date (well, not IE).  Is anyone else running into these same issues, or is there something i should be checking on my local machine?

I am running binhex-delugevpn already.  Is it possible to run binhex-SABnzbdVPN at the same time considering there would be two VPN connections from the same PC?  Better yet, is it possible to simply use the same VPN connection that binhex-delugevpn is already using?

Thanks for any help!

Kind regards,

craigr

yes you can run both at the same time as yuming that the VPN provider you have signed up for allows multiple connections.

Sharing the VPN tunnel with multiple applications is not possible (excluding web browsing and apps that support socks5 proxy which can use privoxy)

Anyone able to tell me how to fix this ..... looks 'permissiony' to me but i'm no linux guy unfortunately.

"Sun Nov 3 20:34:09 2019 [61b3f01f6d05edc5c051c5e57d824405] Peer Connection Initiated with [AF_INET]89.238.154.239:1198

2019-11-03 20:34:10,280 DEBG 'start-script' stdout output:
Sun Nov 3 20:34:10 2019 ERROR: Cannot ioctl TUNSETIFF tun: Operation not permitted (errno=1)
Sun Nov 3 20:34:10 2019 Exiting due to fatal error"

Appears each and every time i switch VPN to 'yes' and terminates in a fatal error following which i am unable to access the webgui with 'can’t establish a connection to the server at 192.168.1.15:8080'

So, summarising, i CAN access wbgui without vpn but not once its switched in using pc on the same lan.

What's missing?

ok lets get some logs going, please follow the procedure below:-

Thanks for that link. I now have it 'working' after I redownloaded and changed network setting from bridge to host. With a setting of bridge I cannot reach the webgui at all. Not sure which of these two actions helped the most. Have also installed radarr and had exactly the same network problems. I'm just using this for the first time, everything has been done manually to date. Still unsure about how to move any files from my downloads to their resting places automatically though. Thanks for any help.

if you have switched it from bridge to host then you must not have the vpn enabled, as it wont work in host mode, i need to see that log by following the link i provided in order to get this working correctly (as in using bridge mode).

Is it possible to move from binhex-sabnzbd to binhex-sabnzbdvpn without having to manually put all my settings back in?

Cheers !

Marty

*edit* I found the post on page 2 in this threat and i deleted my non vpn container and installed the vpn container and pointed the /config path to the location where the non vpn config is. The new container with vpn doesn't start and i don't get an error messege.

Am i doing something wrong?

I'm trying to use a custom provider but it doesn't seem to get past finding the ovpn file, it just hangs with no errors or logging after that.

I've downloaded the zip file containing my cert and key files from Express VPN for my account and placed them in the same directory as the ovpn file. They same files work in other vpn dockers I'm running in unraid. Any help would be appreciated and thank you for all of your great dockers and support!

Check the contents of the ovpn file and make sure it has a 'remote' line defined

It did but it had ; in front of it. Once I removed that I was able to get a little further.

When I check the ovpn file again I see ;dev tun. I removed the ; and restarted the docker and it appears to be working now! Wonder why those options were disabled.

I updated to the latest Docker image this morning, and found out this afternoon that SABnzbd has been hammering my CPU. Has this happened to anyone else?

Specs in sig.

I am having the same issue. It's pegging my server at 100% CPU usage since the update. Doesn't seem to be CPU specific as I am running a Ryzen 1800X while you're on a Xeon.

@binhex Wondering if this is widespread and most haven't auto updated yet?

Edit: @jademonkee I just did a force update of the container and it appears to have settled down.

After update this morning I now get errors. One being pgrep is not found. My error is related to the openvpn.sh script calling for it. I looked and it calls for it but when I go to console pgrep is not present.

Also in this script. After removing it completely and reinstalling.

Pulled binhex/arch-sabnzbdvpn:2.3.9-1-07. Fixed my issue.

I'm also having an issue with the sabnzbdvpn container in the last day or two. It pegs my CPU at 100% and after a while it will spawn so many processes that my system will lock up and I had to reboot to get it back (though had I known this container was doing this at the time, I probably could have just stopped it to kill the processes but didn't know that at the time). It spawns a ton of processes running `/root/prerunget.sh` which spawns a `sleep 5s` command for each one. There were also a ton of openvpn processes. The docker log if full of this.

reverting to binhex/arch-sabnzbdvpn:2.3.9-1-07 also resolved the issue for me. Using PIA with Vancouver CA if that's relevant.

try latest now. he updated it couple hours ago and it fixed all the issues for me. binhex/arch-sabnzbdvpn:2.3.9-3-03

So i was having the same kinda issue on my system. something would finish and then my system would basically locked down until the unpack was done. Once done it would take about 2 minutes for the system to come back. None of the CPU's were maxed but it would stop basic navigation in the GUI's of all the dockers.

Once i downgraded to 2.3.9-1-07 everything started working like it should.

Running on a

Ryzen 3950x

64gb ram

Asus x570 Prime  (newest Bios)
