I have not tried that latest release on 6.11.0. Have you updated unRAID yet? I have but not the docker container :P I have too much in que still since this is a new server

Hello buddy, yeah I'm running the latest unRaid build, no issues, other than the above but I had that before the upgrade.

Anybody have any info? 3.5.3-1-03 works great, as soon as I try to update webgui access is lost and it seems the container never fully starts.

Edit: If anyone has the same issue a full clean install fixed it. Uninstalled, saved my Openvpn folder, deleted all appdata for sabnzbdvpn, and then did a new install. There were quite a few new options in the container on Unraid, and I'm assuming those don't get pulled down during a normal update? I'm guessing it specifically has to do with VPN Client variable, because that was never on my previous template. All good now, up on 3.6.1

I decided to try your advice on a scrub and fresh install and got as far as verifying my existing settings and somehow my LAN was defaulted. Corrected to the network should be on and GUI loaded again and services connect.

Tested VPN = no working fine. Something with the VPN. Do you know if the certificates need to be in a separate files?

14/10 - 11:45 - Changed the DNS address to location connecting in the file to IP and works. I'm using ExpressVPN, anyone with the same issue? Do you know how i can go back the the DNS address instead of IP?

I have been watching sab for a while now, and I can confirm that it hasn't updated in several months.  When I click the dockers tab, and list my dockers, all have updated over a period of a few months, except sab.

I happened to have a slow start today, and decided to check the log, and saw this:

What concerns me is that somehow the VPN is not starting.

Plus I'm worried, and confused, as to why its not updating.

I have made zero changes to sab, other than updating it (when it worked), and am not sure how to proceed.

Options welcome, thanks.

go to unraid webui/docker tab then click on the toggle 'advanced view' top right and then click on the link 'force update' for the container.

Well it's not lying there is no remote line in that config file, redownload the openvpn config from your VPN provider

SOLVED: application template apparently duplicated itself somehow.  I had to delete all templates for this container and create it from scratch.

Hey there everyone.  Im not entirely sure if this is the right place to ask this but I am no longer able to modify my SABnzbd-VPN container.  I am trying to route a new container through it.  I have done this many times before and know how to add the port and the variable but when the "docker run" compiles and executes, it says its successful but none of my changes are saved/deployed.  If i then edit the container again, my new changes are not there.  I am also unable to remove old ports or variables of containers I no longer route through it.  Again, it shows "The command finished successfully!" but the docker run command doesn't have the new parameters I added or removed.  Does anyone have any idea what is wrong here?  I have already restarted my server, updated to the latest stable version of 6.11.2, force updated the container, and scrubbed the docker volume.  I also extended the size of the docker image on a long shot.  I have even gone as far as deleting the container and reinstalling (with some modifications) and removing the old image but it doesn't follow the parameters I set and the old settings come back.  I am at a loss here.

Hello,

I am setting this up for the first time with the PIA VPN, and when I choose the Wireguard VPN Client option, I receiving the following logs, that state there is no wireguard config. However, from the instructions page, I believe one should be created on the fly for PIA VPN? I have left this running like this for a couple hours, thinking it might take time to create a config, but nothing else happens.

I figured out my issue here, the value for VPN_PROV must be lower case. I found the script that was throwing the error and its doing an exact match on "pia".

- VPN_PROV=pia

Sab is suddenly placing TV shows in the main share ("/mnt/tv_shows") instead of the show/season folder ("mnt/tv_shows/show1")

This is new behavior as of a couple hours ago, haven't had this issue in more than half a decade.

I've checked, re-checked, and checked again all the paths, switches, checkboxes, etc.  I'm not sure what else to look for.

ETA

Is it sonarr that is doing the moving?  I've never been able to get this straight.  Does the download client sort and move, or does sonarr/radarr?  I've checked settings there too, can't find anything wrong.

that depends on how you have it configured, but its generally advised to get sonarr/radarr to do the moving and renaming.

you maybe hitting this common configuring issue, Q4:-  https://github.com/binhex/documentation/blob/master/docker/faq/unraid.md

Hello,

First time poster, had my unraid server running for a couple of weeks. I am trying to setup sabnzbdvpn and having a weird webui access issue.

  • When the VPN is enabled (using OpenVPN), I cant access the webui from a PC on the same lan as the nas, I just get a too long to respond error in my webbrowser.
  • When vpn is not enabled, i can access the web ui from a PC on the same lan.
  • I can access the webui with vpn enabled via a firefox instance running in docker on the nas.
  • I also have subversion and plex dockers running which i can access from the PC on the lan, so i don't think its a PC thing. (No port crossovers, I've looked for this)

Other Info:

  • sabnzbdvpn Docker was only installed a week ago and is showing as up to date.
  • Unraid rev - 6.11.5
  • vpn connection seems to be working fine and it is downloading
  • logs not reporting any errors but does say sabnzbd is listenning on 8080

Other than webui access, everything is functioning as id expect.

I would appreciate any help on this, thanks in advance.

Luke

This is likely your issue. For whitelisting your local LAN, I'm not sure what that would equate to knowing your unraid IP. The last part of the network should be where your server lives. 192 is the default on most routers, so I'll assume your server is on 192.168.X.X, you'd need a subnet mask of 24.

```
-e 'LAN_NETWORK'='192.168.0.0/24'
Upgrading from a working 3.6.0-2-01 to latest (3.7.1-1-02).
From the logs, OpenVPN config loads correctly, but then I hit this error.
I though I had weak certs issue, per Q3 here:
https://github.com/binhex/documentation/blob/master/docker/faq/sabnzbdvpn.md
I wiped the two cert files, and new files are generated, but the outcome is the same...
- thread is not created
- thread cannot be joined
from line 99 in builtin.py, it still seems to be a SSL cert issue of some sort, but I'm missing something.
Any suggestions appreciated, thanks!
Good morning,
I have been using sabnzbdvpn for a while without any problems, but here recently I have started getting the connection failed....and I searched it, but the issues in the passed seem to tie to the cipher issue, and I dont see that in my log.
I was thinking maybe change my endpoint, but the faq said different endpoints should show in the supervisord log, but I dont see any in there?  Would someone mind taking a look and helping me out here?
Thank you
First, please delete the file attached to you message. Your username and password is throughout the file. I was having issues as well and updating the DNS fixed it for me. Try updating your nameservers to Cloudflare (1.1.1.1,1.0.0.1) and see if you still have the issue.
Hi,
I am stuck here and looking for some help. I have tried figuring this out on my own and have not been able to find a solution so if it has already been answered I apologize.
I have been running binhex-sabnzbdvpn in UnRAID for quite a while with no problem at all but lately I can not connect to the GUI, when I try to connect in Chrome I get This site can't be reached 192.168.1.10 refused to connect ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED. It seems like the container is running but I cant seem to connect to it. I tried both with VPN set to yes like usual, and thought maybe my problem is VPN related so I tried turning the VPN setting to no but either way I have not been able to connect.
Any thoughts?
Change the values for name_servers, the pia name servers are junk, start with IP 209, so remove both from the list.
I tried removing all name_servers IPs and setting it to just use cloudflare's 1.1.1.1, 1.0.0.1 but no change. I have debug on and can see that it seems to be up and running, it shows it is able to resolve www.google.com and is showing my VPN IP, but when I select WebUI in UnRAID a tab opens tohttp://192.168.1.10:8080 and the web gui does not load and I still get This site can’t be reached
I am not sure if there are any more logs or anything I can pull to help understand what might be my problem?
Has something changed in the last update?
Was getting random 'unable to resolve server.newshostserver.domain' and downloads would randomly stop.
just changed DNS to cloudflare to see if this resolves it, but now i just keep getting in a loop of trying to connect to VPN then times out then tries again and again.....?
Even tried replacing PIA server with another, same issue with multiple?
Debug log attached.... also checked firewall for the PIA ip, no matches blocked.
FIxed: Downloaded new openvpn config files reference a IP (91.90.121.230) rather than the older config that references uk-manchester.privacy.network (domain).
Restored old PIA config files from 4 months back. works fine with DNS changed to cloudflare, new config files do not. very weird? not sure as to why? as i downloaded them from PIA site.
Hi! Since some time ago i've had problems with wireguard and SAB. I only get speeds of <1MB/s, where i get >50MB/s with OpenVpn.
Im using PIA as the VPN provider and has been for many years. I'm connecting to the same servers with both protocols.
The even more wired thing is that Deluge is having no problems with Wireguard, i get mostly full speed there, if the seed is good enough.
This is running on the same physical machine under UnRaid in dockers. Both containers are under the same network interface (brigde) and the configs are exactly the same, apart from Deluge having Privoxy active.
I deleted both Sab and Deluge and removed the old folders and did a complete re-install and the problem is still present.
What logs and info is needed?
Best regards
Sweex
