I have tried replacing it with the database/blob backup it takes itself all the way back to two weeks but same error. Plex was working fine the day before yesterday so I am not quite sure what is going on if those backups don't work either.

UPDATE: I have replaced my DB files from a week ago and pulled the older version :1.32.0.6950-1-01 and I am back up and running. No idea what has caused it but will wait a couple of weeks before attempting to go latest again.

I just posted what appears to be the same issue with the "latest" tag docker image. Sorry for reposting, i didnt see this post prior to submitting mine.

I've been able to workaround it by doing the same as you, using a specific version tag and not grabbing the latest version of the docker image.

Following this thread now as well as mine ...

Best regards,

-Tiger

I'm running this image myself with no issue (on tagged 'latest'), unless there is a step you guys can provide me to replicate the issue then I won't be able to fix it 😞

i appreciate that and i fully understand -- let me try to deploy the plexpass latest version side by side to see if makes a difference

Plexpass latest works fine, i also just tried to re-install the docker app and got the same results.

i guess i will use the plexpass version going forward ...

question ... can i point the /config property at my old /mnt/user/appdata/binhex-plex directory so i dont have to copy all my metadata files to/mnt/user/appdata/binhex-plexpass??

interesting ... i just did that and now recieving the same error with the plexpass container. so it must not be an issue with the container, it must be an issue with the config files in /mnt/user/appdata/binhex-plex ... i wonder if there was an upgrade to the database which was missed in a prior version or something ... i really dont know.

I think the best thing to do is just create a new appdata dir and rebuild my libraries

the error started three builds ago ... when it was upgraded to 1.32.1 anything before this works fine

Been having an issue for a few weeks now, Plex isn't using my NVIDIA GPU for transcoding anymore. I haven't made any hardware changes, or any changes to the Plex configuration. It is still transcoding, but it is using my CPU instead.  Anyone else having this issue, or any ideas how to fix it?

I'm brand new to all this, so please bear with me. I've been going back and forth with this docker and the official plex media server one. I'm having the issue with not being able to actually log into the media server. everytime i open the webui, i get taken to the web app client without any server settings available.

I am using another pc to access my unraid server, connected at a network switch. both server and pc have static ip's.

i've tried accessing the server through the pc, as well as within a firefox docker on the server. i've tried accessing through 5.x.x.x:32400/web and the 127.0.0.1:32400/web.

I've seen some posts about messing with the preferences xml, but I am unsure how to open/access that file because when i try on my pc through windows file manager/network, it says to ask the admin for rights.

Hi, I've noticed an issue since the latest update where Plex appears to get stuck "Detecting intros:" after a new episode of anything is added. Everything else with Plex appears to work find but you can see under activity its stuck detecting. I've left it for hours and it never finishes. The container shows 5-6% usage while its stuck detecting. Restarting the container clears the issue until it tries to scan again.

Anyone else notice this?

Having a problem with Plex "Freezing" overnight. It even slows down all of my other dockers, and it slows down getting into the Dockers Tab - 40-50 seconds to open the tab.

If i Stop the Plex Docker, it waits for awhile and then a message saying "Execution Error" comes up. But If I then restart plex it runs again fine until something like 7:00 am the next day.

I looked inthe Logs and there is quite a lot like this

I'm also doing nVidia GPU transcoding using a P2000 with the latest image, no issues here AFAIK, your best bet is to post on the plex support forum here and see if they can debug your issue further.

I've not seen this issue myself with latest tagged image, make sure you have no 3rd party addons installed, if it's still causing an issue then your best bet is to post the issue on the official plex forum:-  https://forums.plex.tv/

That warning message normally indicates something is busy reading and/or writing to your plex database which then is causing your system hang, take a look at the processes running on your system and look at the plex log to try and identify what is causing the database to be busy.

Just added in my reply on that thread, thanks for organizing.

Interesting that i still don't get the issue, I am using a nVidia P2000, just kicked off a quick playback and sure enough its using HW transcoding:-

I am on 6.12.3, maybe its unRAID 6.12.x that is the issue?

may know more?

@Sanborn can you share a bit more information about your system? Please also include your Diagnostics.

I'm not aware of any issues in 6.12.x with the Nvidia Driver and transcoding in Plex.

What kind of media do you transcode and what card do you have?
Maybe the Nvidia Driver support thread is the correct place to continue this conversation.

@binhex are you still on 6.11.5 or are you on 6.12.x?

I sent it over to you in DM.

I have a RTX 3080 (yes I know, mega overkill but had other aspirations) that I've been using the last year+ for transcoding video to HEVC to conserve space. Fileflows can properly see my GPU, so I know the card is working.
