rebaza
Hello, Last night my plex docker starting acting strangely in that libraries have stopped updating and I receive the error "There was an unexpected error loading the dashboard: when launching the docker. I've restarted the docker a couple times and rebooted the server as well since then in an attempt to fix it. I have also changed the config path from /mnt/user/appdata/<container name> to /mnt/cache/appdata/<container name> per the following link and that hasn't fixed my problem either. Any help or direction would be appreciated. https://github.com/binhex/documentation/blob/master/docker/faq/unraid.md Quote Link to comment
Superman
for some reason installing the docker with custom bro network configuration with a static IP doesn't properly setup the web-GUI configuration nor does it allow me to login to the web interface but if you use host everything installs fine and you can access the web interface. this a clean fresh install of this app on a fresh clean build of unraid 6.7.2. my other docker apps have no issues this using the custom bro network config. I am honestly not too sure how to if I have a backup to restore from or if it backups periodically where that backup would be stored from. Apologies, but would you be able to tell me where the backup would be stored if it was done automatically or if not how to proceed on restoring my plex database? I was unraid 6.5.2 when this happened. Quote Link to comment
deaerator
Is there a way to get the latest build from Plex with the updated transcoder for Linux, that will enable the NVIDIA GPU Decode/Encode. https://forums.plex.tv/t/plex-media-server-1-16-7-1597-updated-new-transcoder-preview/451135 Quote Link to comment

Jhp612
Plex keeps stopping randomly. Have to restart docker container to get it running again. Not sure what causes this except for maybe an internal Plex process. After I deleted those and re-pulled binhex-plex from Community Apps everything worked again. I think I had a corrupt file or something. I will let you know if the problem pops up again. To prevent it roll back to unraid 6.6.7 or earlierSent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk Quote Link to comment

It happened as Plex was optimizing an episode for TV. Here's the Plex Media Server.log (with my WAN IP removed). Hope that helps. From my limited reading it seems SQLite databases are getting corrupted. I got my Nextcloud using a MySQL via MariaDB and its been working fine. Is there anyway to have Plex use MySQL/MariaDB? Thanks again for the solid work. Plex Media Server(WAN IP Removed).log Quote Link to comment

Rolled back to 6.6.7 last night. You are correct I don't have a cache drive now and /config is mapped to /mnt/user/appdata. I will be buying a cache drive soon though and hopefully by then 6.7.3-rc3 -> 6.7.4 will have the whole issue fixed anyway. When I do get the cache drive where should I point the /config mapping to? Joeshtoops23
I'm pretty new to Unraid, and I've run into an issue recently with plex that's super frustrating. I've transferred all of my old media to my new unraid server, and initially I was able to get it to scan my movie library fine. I was fiddling around with some settings and when I went to apply some changes, it removed the container from my docker. I re-installed the container, and got it back up and working to where I can watch the movies that are on there. But I can't scan my libraries for any changes. It's weird because I can still watch the files. So it's obviously accessing the files, but can't add anything else. I've attached pictures of my binhex settings and my shares. I tried creating another share to put the movies folder into, and when I try to add that as a library in plex, I get an error stating "Changes could not be saved" or something along those lines. I'm hoping I just did something dumb and can fix it easily, but I've tried a few different options and nothing has worked. The only thing I changed was adding the two variable host keys at the bottom for GPU pass through for hw encoding, Everything else is how it is when I installed it. Ignore the "Media" share, that's the one I tried putting some movie files into to see if I could add that library to Plex. And here is the way I have the Libraries set up. It can see the files when I'm browsing to add folders, but it doesn't scan for them at all. Any help would be much appreciated. Edited September 25, 2019 by Joeshtoops23 Quote Link to comment
jondak
@Joeshtoops23 From what i see in the 1st picture i think the Host Path 2 is missing the full path : /mnt/user/Media/ . You only have /mnt/user/ Quote Link to comment

eagle470
I helped him over on reddit, ran into this issue with the Binhex Plex container myself. Joeshtroops23 had a corrupted database within plex and I had them delete and download the plex, inc made container. His pathing was also a level too high, so I got him squared away there as well.
