[Support] binhex - Plex Pass

Recommended Posts

Hi, I've run into a weird issue with my plex libraries. All of a sudden I am unable to access my TV library from android tv and my android phone app. I thought that the issue was isolated to the apps but have now noticed that home screen on the web app shows unreachable for on deck, recently added, etc. I am still able to watch movies and tv libraries on the web app but not on the android app. Attached is my log file. If anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated.

I am having an issue and I'm not sure what is going on. I recently started having issues with permissions where I would get the message that I do not have permission to access the server. To troubleshoot I backed up my config and wiped out the docker and started from scratch, but using the docker image I get either this error "No soup for you! The server you're trying to access doesn't want to let you in. Make sure you're signed in as a user with access to this server."

To test further I installed PMS under windows and was able to log in and claim the server with no issues.

Attached are the Server logs from a fresh install of the docker image and me attempting to login and claim it.

What is going on?

Ok so I got it working again. I had to boot unraid into the GUI mode and use the built in web browser to go to localhost:32400/web in order to login and claim the server. I think that this is because I was on a different vlan when trying to claim the server. Server was on xxx.xxx.2.xxx and I was on xxx.xxx.1.xxx.

Hello - i've been using this container for a while and just recently started having a problem. It seems that I can no longer get metadata for TV Shows. Movies work fine. Looking at the logs, I see a lot of these:

I did some googling and this thread https://forums.plex.tv/t/https-broken/216635/18 in Plex forums mentioned that SSL was broken within Plex. I don't understand why this recently stopped working. I thought it was my database, so I deleted all of it, and re-added all libraries but same problem.

I have also tried other Plex containers and have the same issue.

Any ideas?

This container has been working great for me, but then I updated and now when I try to use the web interface it refuses to connect and no apps seem to be able to connect, I tried other plex containers and even downgrading this one and I keep having the same issues. Any help would be appreciated.

check q3-q5 from the following link to see if you have the db corruption issue:-

https://github.com/binhex/documentation/blob/master/docker/faq/plex.md

p.s. the answer is 42

You have completely filled your cache. Possibly it is corrupt. And your appdata share is cache-no, with some of it on cache and some of it scattered across the array. You actually have a fairly large cache so it shouldn't be a problem but you let things get out of hand somehow and then maybe you changed appdata to cache-no trying to fix it.

Stop all writes to your server until you get this fixed. Leave appdata cache-no for now until you can make some room on cache.

You have some other shares currently with files on cache. These are all cache-yes (good) and anonymized in the Diagnostics as

D--------------s

M---a

S---f

Run mover to get all of these moved to the array then when mover completes post new diagnostics.

Regarding the TVDB API issue, it looks like the Plex folks have released a new version that addresses this, version 1.18.2.2058 which fixes the agent. Is there a way to update the server without waiting for the container to be updated?

I would not try it, but I believe you can ssh into the container,

source or reinstall aur ( https://github.com/stuartpb/aur.sh ), which seems to have the latest plex pass version: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/plex-media-server-plexpass ).

I'm sure you can upgrade or force install the package.

I just don't hotfix my containers...high effort, high risk of doing something not intended.

Yeah, that seems more involved than what I thought might be possible. Looks like I'll be waiting on the container update then! Thanks!

no it doesnt, its flagged out of date, as soon as that updates the build will commence, just hold tight guys, im sure it will be 'soon'.

Idk what to say there. I see 2019-11-22 17:50 was the last package time (well after when I made my comment if I'm handling timezones properly), but I pulled on that repo (https://aur.archlinux.org/plex-media-server-plexpass.git) before posting and I had gotten updates that I _swear_ were a new release.

Either way though I'm not under pressure to get this release on my server. I was just trying to illustrate to @Barbadus where he would look if he wanted to take the container update into his own hands.

I'm having a problem with RADARR and Plex.  RADARR is properly downloading my files, and importing them to my media library.  However, when Plex does it's scan for the new data, it has started to merge the new file with an existing one.  In other words, the first time I caught it, I had three extra movie files merged in with FURY.  All the extra movies were in their proper directories, but for some reason Plex's scanner kept importing them into Fury's database.  It was a simple matter to split them, and then Fix Match, but...it shouldn't be happening at all.

Any ideas?

I am having issues with Plex not updating the library when new files are added or a manual library scan.  I deleted and reinstalled the docker, thinking there was something corrupt there, no difference.  I have attached the Plex log and system log.

Thanks in advance for the assistance.

Seems it's a plex problem and  reverting to 1.17 will fix it, gonna try it later.

edit:

reverted to 1.17.0.1841-1-01 and now everything works again
