Hi There! Just finished installing SickRage docker on my Unraid 6 server today and everything seems to be working as it should .. .except I don't seem to be able to save the API keys of Search Providers under Provider Options. I cut/paste the API key, select Save Changes and everything seems to be OK .. but if I select another option (say Shows) then when I got back to Search Providers the API keys are blank. Also getting "

Invalid api key. Check your settings

in error log. Everything seems to be working as it should other than this! Any ideas/fixes anyone?

Thanks in anticipation!

I can't seem to get sickrage to delete folders. i have /media set to Read/Write on the Docker.

I have the folder set to chmod 777 and nobody:users set for permissions but sickrage deletes the folder and it is still there.

The container umask is 000 do i need to change something with that

There has been a DMCA done by echel0n (because he says its his code as had the first fork lol when its midgetspys and open source!) which is causing an error on the general tab

A work around is to clone a mirror into the container.

Make sure the sickrage container is running then

ssh into your unraid server using putty if PC or terminal if Mac

then run

docker exec -it binhex-sickrage /bin/bash

That will get us into the shell of the Docker container. This container is based on Arch Linux

and with need to install git so now run this command

pacman -S git

Say yes to proceed with the installation. After this has installed we need to delete the current

sickrage in the container

rm -r /opt/sickrage

now we need to pull down sickrage from the mirror with this command

git clone https://distortion.io/git/mirror/sickrage.git /opt/sickrage

All done so now stop the container and restart and you will be good to go :)

pet peeve.  Open source by itself has no bearing on the issue, and software being open source does not mean in any way shape or form that the original copyright holders has no rights (except for what is granted under the licence terms.)  But the general consensus is that Nick rightfully owns the copyright, not eschel0n

Yeah true, you are quite right about the open source, my bad. You being a coder i can see why this annoys you.

I just think it's a bit silly what he is doing when his was a fork of sickbeard anyway, so yeah he has added code but is hardly the original copyright holder. Plus the software is designed to download copyrighted material. Its quite ironic if you think about it ! ;)

Alternatively, you can use https://donna.devices.wvvw.me/sickrage/sickrage.git if the distortion.io link is slow...

im not really sure why people are going through the hassle of switching to a potentially dodgy source for sickrage, in my experience sickrage is still working just fine (am i missing something here?), with only a cosmetic message on the general tab, my docker image does NOT do any sort of pulling of source on startup or auto upgrading so the image is self contained thus the dmca issue is not of concern (unless i hear otherwise) so i would advise users not to modify their containers, im sure the DMCA issue will shake out one way or another.

edit - as pointed out by @gridrunner (cheers) the issue is more around new users, who cant get to the general tab to configure sickrage in the first place, existing users should be fine. ok well if this becomes a bigger issue (as in dmca issue looks to not be resolved any time soon) then i will dig into this a bit more and see if i can work around it.

I don't know if its just me, but I can no longer add new shows, index returns no results for anything.

Looks like something around tvdb is broken.
Still using original source so far, and have seen the mako error shown earlier.

Updated following @gridrunner DMCA workaround, fixed loss of general settings.

TVDB issues were resolved by restarting router, SR must of spammed TVDB a little too much.

The github.io for sickrage has posted a fix for the mako error : https://sickrage.github.io/

Essentially replace the mako file as stated at the bottom of the page, which links to: https://gist.github.com/sharkykh/6d6ada91a6787925a25b12cf878a1c2f

Binhex, could you update the container to include this?

I'm more comfortable doing this as the patched file comes from the official site, so ive now managed to build an image (yes it was a faff) that includes the patched file. it has a particular tag to distinguish itself from a normal build, the tag is "patched", if you want to use this image and don't know how to reference tags then please see the faq link below Q11 (verisonyouwant = patched in this scenario) :-

I'm seeing this in my sr log after telling it to do a Mass Update, rescan and update:

This episode showname - S01E05 has no name on theTVDB.  Setting to an empty string

Seems it only does this for some shows, others seem to update just fine.

I'm running the latest version of unraid and sr docker and everything seems to be working fine, no errors in log.

I also have a separate issue that I see in sabnzbd.  I'm using the nzbtomedia script and it was working find for over a year.  Now in sabnzbd, it shows added by sickrage as failled downloads  However, it downloads fine and the script runs and even moves the movie file to the correct folder.  Therefore I'm not sure why sabnzbd is showing a sickbeard.py script error when the nzbtomedia scriptruns.

SICKBEARD: Unable to figure out what folder to process. If your downloader and SickRage aren't on the same PC make sure you fill out your TV download dir in the config.
[19:48:30] [ERROR]::MAIN: A problem was reported in the /config/nzbToMedia/nzbToSickBeard.py script.
SickBeard: Failed to post-process - Returned log from SickBeard was not as expected.!

I installed this version during the  false DMCA takedown request.  I see this note in SR News section;

2017-08-05

Our main repository on Github SickRage/SickRage is now available.
If you installed SickRage using a mirror of our repository, or switched your installation to get updates from a mirror, please make sure that you're back on the main repo URL in order to be able to receive future updates.

Instructions are to:

Stop SickRage, SSH(Linux)/CMD(Windows) and enter SickRage folder

git remote set-url origin https://github.com/SickRage/SickRage.git
git fetch origin
git checkout master
git branch -u origin/master
git reset --hard origin/master
git pull

After stopping SR and SSH, changed to the SR folder and get the following error:

-bash: git: command not found

Is this a path issue or do I need to install something?

With this being a Docker, do I even need to follow the above instructions?  Or will the Docker Updates take care of this for me?

Git isn't present in this docker images, simply select advanced view on the docker tab, then click on the force update option for this container to get you back in sync
