Re: Seagate 8TB Shingled Drives in UnRAID

I've hit problems ! :(

Created another thread to cast a wider net but thought I'd put the link here as it relates to the ST8000AS0002's

I was 98% into the second cycle (70-80 hours!) and I noticed I couldn't access Tower but could navigate to the box and flash disk via network. Hooking up to the screen showed

udevadm settle - timeout of 120 seconds reached, the event queue contains:

/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1f.2/ata4/host4/target4:0:0/4:0:0:0/block/sdd/sdd1 (16390)

On the screen I can see ata3/host3/target3 and ata4/host4/target4 mentioned - I fear somethings gone wrong with both drives :(

I should also note I can still hear the drives clicking away, as they did during the pre-clear

Appreciate any advice anyone can give.

I just had 2 more 8Tb drives arrive and was looking forward to adding them to the box in a couple of days once this 3x preclears were done but this has me worrying about stability

So rather strangely I can now access the GUI.

As per the other thread I started it looks like my USB flash drive may be corrupted, which I'll sort out once the 3rd cycle is finished.
