NotYetRated Posted January 26, 2016 Share Posted January 26, 2016 Picked up a couple of Norco SS-500 5in3 bays a few months ago. Installed in to an Antec 900v2 case. I have my server in a media closet, so it is pretty well sound insulated, however when I have the media cabinets open for wires gaming controllers, or any other small number of reasons, I can easily hear the Norco fans whirring. Case temps are very good, though unplugging the Norco fans sends HDD temps to the danger zone. Anyone suggest alternative fans, or maybe an alternative setup to allow larger, slower fans? Or any other suggestions? Before the two Norco's, my server was near dead silent. Quote Link to comment
