Rebooted Server = Disk configuration lost

Featured Replies

Last night my server hung while transferring/accessing files.  It required me to login via telnet and run "shutdown now -r".  When the server came back up the GUI shows my cache disk assigned, but all other disks as unassigned.  I have a list of all my drives and what disk they were assigned as, so hopefully all is not lost.

My assumed next step is to reassign all disks as they once were and start the array.  I just want to be sure I won't lost any data when doing so and wondering if I should trust parity and select "Parity is already valid".

Thanks in advance.

MMmm first I thought I had the same problem but as you already addressed your cache is online but your data disk is not and the array is not started.

Have you tried "Spin down and spin up "

Also you can click the disks HTML link to get advanced settings.

Hope this helps a bit .

Re-assign all disks, make sure parity is on the correct slot, check "parity is already valid" and start array.

Thanks Jonnie.  That worked perfectly.
