Dual NIC but no dual speed

Featured Replies

So, i've been watching LTT's video on SMB 3.0, where he gets more than the 100mb/s speed, between a server and the workstation. I have been working on this all day, and still don't break the barrier. I have a workstation with 2 NIC, which i have aggreated into 1 connection. In my router setup my workstation also shows up, as 1 single connection. The same does my unraid server. I have set the network bonding mode to "balance-rr" and as mentioned before, it shows up as 1 ip in my router config.

When i transfer a large file, i still only get 100mb/s, and sometimes less. It has always been bumping up and down. What am i doing wrong? Of course i am running dual cat5e cables between server and router, and router and workstation. Is it my stupid router?

So at the moment i will not be able to reach more than 112mb/s transfer speed?

Afaik not for a single transfer from Unradi, I get it from windows 10 to Windows 2012R2.

It’s being worked on for SAMBA4, and hopefully will be supported by Unraid when available.
