Can't get to GUI via firefox or chrome

Featured Replies

I recently upgraded my main PC to Windows 10. I loaded the latest firefox and chrome browsers (I don't use IE or it's new replacement).

Now when I attempt to connect to my unRaid server I am never prompted for a username/password. I can connect to the unmenu.

A google search tells me firefox 30 and above no longer support ntlm v1/2. You can see the articles by searching for "network.negotiate-auth.allow-insecure-ntlm-v1".

There is a workaround for MAC and Linux but not Windows.

Going back to my old XP box that I kept for just such uses shows me I can indeed connect and everything is well with my setup.

So - is it just me? Do I have something configured improperly in Windows 10 / firefox / chrome?

Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks

I know that I can get to the WebGui via chrome on Windows 10... but I don't actually know what is causing your problem.

Check and see if you have any Ad Blocks installed.  If you do, you will have to whitelist your unRAID server.

Thanks for the suggestion but no add blocking software of any kind.

Delete all the history and cached passwords, etc within Chrome

Thanks for all the replies and suggestions - I did find the issue. How can I mark this post solved?

I use AVG antivirus free addition and it includes a "Link Scanner" for Web Browsing protection.

Why it would think something in my own LAN was a danger is beyond me. I can find no way to add exceptions at this time so I'll just shut it off.

I'm not running AVG on my XP box so that's why there was no issue with it.

I hope this helps someone else in the future.
