I'll be honest and say that I don't know what is or isn't possible with current technology as far as this feature request is concerned. However it would be really awesome if the following were features of unraid.

 

1. The ability to pause a parity check.

2. If a parity check is interrupted, (like by a reboot) it can start off in the last place it stopped at, instead of needing to start from scratch all over again.

3. The ability to pause a data rebuild.

4. If a data rebuild is interrupted, (like by a reboot) it can start off in the last place it stopped at, instead of needing to start from scratch all over again.

5. Hot Swapping, I know this is possible, why is it not a feature?
