Accidently removed root user in passwd and shadow file

Hi Guys

 

Please help me add root user back into my passwd file.. I accidently removed the root line from both passwd and shadow file. Long story short, Im not left only with a user account.

You can delete those files and they will be recreated when you reboot.

I tried that but it didnt work, unraid reloads with no passwd or shadow files.

Where did you delete them from? They are in the config folder of your flash drive.

You may have to check to see that your Flash Drive is not corrupted.  Most people use chkdsk in a Windows machine to do this.

Yes I can try it again now, Im doing it through smb share.. flash and then config folder.
