Guide: Cloud Storage Backup via rclone (DropBox, GoogleDrive, OneDrive...)

Ok. I found the rclone plugin thread on the forum but it talks about what to do AFTER installing the plugin. Where is the actual plugin located so that I can install it?

I see 3 of them in Community Applications.

I'm not in front on my machine but there should be 2. One is the stable release and the other a beta (of rclone that is, not the plugin). There is also a docker. The docker works fine but I wouldn't recommend it as docker itself limits the functionality of it quite significantly.

The install instructions are there. Look again.

Yes I had that link. I had no CAs though. After  I took my array offline and rebooted the Apps menu appeared on the toolbar.

@bobbintb the thread has all the info to setup rclone. However I cant seem to make rclone stick after a reboot. I know plugins are supposed to install themselves on every reboot, but this one doesn't.

Is there something I'm missing ?

Hello,

When I try this step of the installation:

#Download rclone and unzip

wget http://downloads.rclone.org/rclone-current-linux-386.zip -O //boot/rclone/install/rclone-current-linux-386.zip

unzip /boot/rclone/install/rclone-current-linux-386.zip

I receive the message:

-bash: /usr/bin/unzip: cannot execute binary file

Any ideas as to the problem?

I have followed all the preceding steps with successful results.

I had the same problem when I tried this

If anyone interested, I have updated the scripts for Unraid 6.2.2.

https://github.com/syaifulnizamyahya/rclone_unraid/blob/master/rclone_unraid.sh

@publicENEMY I'm having to use your script rather than the plugin as I have a pfsense VM and the plugin tries to install rclone at unRAID startup, which fails as there's no connectivity until the VM starts.

I've tried to modify the script to support rclone beta and all seems well until I run rclone config:

root@Highlander:~# rclone config
-bash: /usr/sbin/rclone: cannot execute binary file: Exec format error

Can you tell me what I've done wrong please - thanks

Hi

Sorry for late reply. Did you get it fixed?

The error is caused by having different build that it supposed to. Eg. you are running 64bit build on 32bit system. In your case, are you installing on other os than Unraid?

Again, sorry for late reply.
