I've never used slackware until now and using it without a package manager or the basic make stuff is a pain in the butt.  I want to install some other apps to get info and remux media files but there are no packages for slackware out there so I'm going to have to compile them but I can't figure out the best way to get the dev tools on the box. Any tips?
