November 16, 200916 yr After updating to b8, I have noticed an odd behavior while copying folders named VIDEO_TS from my PC (windows 7 x64) to any unraid share. Windows pops up a box like this: "this destination already contains a folder named 'VIDEO_TS'. Do you still want to merge this folder". After clicking Yes the copy proceeds smoothly. The folder that is supposedly already there has always the current time, it clearly gets created at the same time that I initiate the copy. I am pretty sure that this was not happening with 4.5b6, but it was happening with b8, and now with latest b10. It may be a problem with windows that is all on my side, though I've never seen this particular one before. Can anyone reproduce this? Luca
November 16, 200916 yr Are you sure you are not overwriting your existing VIDEO_TS with newer VIDEO_TS? Are you sure how your split levels work?
November 16, 200916 yr Author Are you sure you are not overwriting your existing VIDEO_TS with newer VIDEO_TS? Yes Are you sure how your split levels work? I've never set up any split levels, should I? The share in question is set to "fill-up" as allocation method, and I set 50GB of min free space. There are 5 discs "included" in this share. I have done some more testing and this problem only seems to occur if I copy the VIDEO_TS directly from a virtual drive (VirtualCloneDrive to be precise). If I copy the same folder to a local HD first, and then from there to the share, no problem! This seems to point to a bug in VCD...? Though it does not happen if I copy the VIDEO_TS folder to a windows share...
November 16, 200916 yr I have seen the same behaviour with Vista copying to unRAID 4.4.2. AND also vista copying to vista over a network. However, it occurs vary rarely and I am unable to reproduce the problem consistently. When it occurs with unRAID I simply open a telnet session to delete the folder. PS I copy direct to disk as I don't use user shares or a cache.
