Boot issues after installing Supermirco AOC-SAS2LP-MV8

Featured Replies

3 Days ago I decided to build an unraid server using a Dell Optiplex 990 (i5-2400, 16 gb DDR3 1600, 750 Watt PSU)

Drives are:

2x 2tb WD Green

1x 5tb Toshiba 7200 RPM

1x 2tb Toshiba 7200 RPM

1x 120 GB SSD

Config:

Pulled Dell MB, and put it in a Antec Three Hundred Two.

The unraid server was working fine, I installed the Supermirco AOC-SAS2LP-MV8 and booted the server. The card boots up and sees the drives but when it goes to boot off the pen drive I get a black screen with a blinking cursor. I rebooted the server and reset the BOIS options to default and only changed the ones that I would be needing. I am still getting the black screen with the black cursor.

I would love to fix this so I can get my server running again

If your BIOS looking for a boot disk attached to the SAS2LP, perhaps?

Double check your BIOS, sounds like it is not booting from your pen drive. I had this happen before when i was messing around in my server

did you disable int13 is the cards bios?

Myk

first thing i see in your system bios is you should set sata to AHCI. then you have to go into the card bios and make sure int13 is disabled
