March 4, 201610 yr This has been going on for a few weeks and I'm not sure the cause. I will lose connection to the unRAID server. Cannot reach it in Windows Explorer, cannot reach it thru the web GUI, cannot reach it by telneting in to it. I have to do a hard reboot of the server, often times multiple hard reboots in order to connect again. When this happens, the parity check starts, comes back with no errors and everything seems fine. Then anywhere from hours to days, the process starts again. I will lose connection, have to hard reboot, etc. I've attached the diagnostics zip file, but I'm not sure if it will be any good. I downloaded after the parity check is done, but I can't get into the machine once I lose connection. The only plugin I have is Dynamix Active Streams. unRAID Version: 6.1.8 Model: Custom M/B: BIOSTAR Group - A760G M2+ CPU: AMD model unknown @ 2700 HVM: Enabled IOMMU: Disabled Cache: 128 kB, 1024 kB Memory: 2048 MB (max. installable capacity 8 GB) Network: eth0: 100Mb/s - Full Duplex Kernel: Linux 4.1.17-unRAID x86_64 OpenSSL: 1.0.1r Uptime:0 days, 00:14:13 tower-diagnostics-20160301-1840.zip
March 4, 201610 yr Im having similar issues here. https://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=46607.msg446332#msg446332 You might try downloading the Powerdown Package (2.19) plugin so that when you shut down logs of what went wrong are saved.
March 4, 201610 yr The one thing that catches my mind here (and its not necessarily the cause) is Network: eth0: 100Mb/s - Full Duplex Is your network indeed only 100MB/s (ie: do you have a 100MB switch)? Since basically your problems are network related, this could be a hint that you have bad cabling, bad switch, etc

Since basically your problems are network related, this could be a hint that you have bad cabling, bad switch, etc If you are talking about the network card on the server itself, it is definitely possible. It is like 6 years old and I put it together with spare parts from work, so that could be. I'll try to replace it this weekend and see if that solves it.
March 4, 201610 yr Also seems like my issue. I thought it was to do with VMs but I suppose it would be anything. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=46904.msg448431#msg448431

I didn't even realize that my router had gone in the toilet. Got a new one and have been up 4 days without a problem. Thanks for the response. Btw, is it possible to upgrade the unRAID version from the GUI interface?

Btw, is it possible to upgrade the unRAID version from the GUI interface? Plugins - check for updates. 6.1.9 will be at the bottom (and also upgrade the webUI if it appears - if it doesn't check again after installing 6.1.9) If you want to try out 6.2 beta, then you've got to manually install the upgrade plugin.
March 12, 201610 yr Author Stupid McNupid, I thought I looked everywhere for that but I didn't. I feel dumb. Thanks for all the help.
April 14, 201610 yr Author Ok, this problem has actually come back. Everything is the same as before except it seems like the connection lasts a week or so until it dies. Something else strange is happening. Files that I put on the unRAID are missing and files that I've deleted are back. Not all files, just some of them. This happens every time I restart the server. I replaced the router when it seemed like that was the problem before. (Actually, I needed to do that anyway) But is there any way to get the diagnostics if I can never connect after the machine goes poof?
April 14, 201610 yr I had similar issues after trying to get DelugeVPN Docker working. I screwed at first not realizing Dockers shouldn't be on /mnt/user. Even though I had uninstalled the Dockers, the files and directories were still there. I finally had to backup my usb Flash drive and key and reformat and put unRAID 6.1.9 back with key and start again. I never lost the attached display so was able to "power down" from command line. Also "htop" is good to see if any process is hogging the CPU. Haven't had issues yet, also changed the setting to not update webGUI in real-time while parity check is occurring. So far I have kept the Dockers to Plex and Dropbox. I am a noob when it come to unRAID but many years with Linux. I am going to install that package mentioned earlier.
