unRAID GPU passthrough fail and automatic boot (GTX780)

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I'm new and about to buy my unRAID license but I need the passthrough to work for this. I tried to passthrough my GTX780 but when I start the VM the screen goes black (was on unRAID command line) and nothing happen. I also plugged in an old HD4770 because I though that I needed an other GPU to be able to passthrough my main one but the GTX780 still showing my bios welcome screen and unRAID root command line. So I tried to passthrough my HD4770 which worked. I can I get it working with my GTX780 ? I didn't try to switch GPUS places but I guess that would help ?

My other question is... IS there a way to get unRAID fully started automatically when I start my PC?

Thanks

Alex

You will not be able to pass through the nvidia card as long as its in the first slot. Put the and card in the first slot and you should be able to pass through the nvidia card  :)

Didn't read that far to be honest  ;)

You will find the setting to auto-start the array in settings --> Disk settings.

For VM's you toggle the autostart switch on the VM's page.
