Files on my flash drive

Featured Replies

I have a bunch of files on my flash drive named FSCK000.REC are these files from an attempted repair on my flash drive? Should I be concerned or do anything with them?

They are orphan clusters (8 kiB in size) that your repair utility recovered but didn't know where they belong. As they stand they are no use but won't do any harm if you leave them. If you knew exactly what the contents of your flash ought to be you'd find a file or two missing but if everything works they were obviously not important files. What I'd do is copy everything off to a safe place. Then reformat the flash and name it UNRAID. I'd get a fresh download of the same version and make a fresh install, then copy the backed up files over the fresh install, omitting the .REC files. Then I'd run the script to make the flash bootable.
