SuperMicro loses IPMI access with bonded NICs

Featured Replies

I have an X10SRA-F mb with the IPMI set to "share" the network connection. This board has 2 NICs. I have bonding enabled in v6.1.7 with it set to balance-rr. Spanning tree is also enabled in unRAID.

The switch is an Easy Smart TP-Link with a LAG group set for the 2 unRAID network connections.

I can access the IPMI during boot and shutdown when the bonded arrangement is stopped. As soon as the bonding starts I lose access to IPMI. The bonding itself works fine.

Is there a way to retain access to the IPMI while bonding the 2 internal NICs?

Cheers!

I just have the 2 unfortunately.

my 3rd one is specifically set to a ip in the bios and the other 2 work independent of it - so it looks like you cant bond them and keep IPMI access
