Cannot change DNS settings from default google DNS servers

Featured Replies

Hi Community

I am evaluating unRAID server and I've hit a problem where I cannot seem to change what DNS servers the server uses.

I have set to static DNS (Not DHCP) and when I update them, the network stops, then comes back and shows the value I entered. But if I go back to the network settings page, its reverted to the default Google ones

Seems to be locked to 8.8.4.4 and 8.8.8.8

/etc/resolv.conf also shows 8.8.4.4 and 8.8.8.8

Same applies when I switch it to obtain via DHCP

Perhaps this is a trial limitation ?

unRAID 6.1.9

** I HAVE SOLVED THIS **

My Router is sending out Avahi DNS settings and unRAID seems to take them and ignore anything specifically configured on the WebUI

I've had to force my router to send out the DNS server I want it to use since I cant turn off Avahi
