Array startup freezes after unclean shutdown

Featured Replies

Hello all,

Hoping you can help.  We experienced a power loss (no UPS at the time... of course) and my server shutdown unexpectedly.  Upon reboot, everything seems to work fine until I click on start on the Tower/Main page to start the array.  The following text scrolls across the bottom of the page:

Spinning up all drives...Start array...Mounting disks...

And then the web GUI freezes.  SSH access to the server becomes unavailable at this time as well.  Can't access anything.  I powered down the system, started it back up & captured a syslog (syslog.txt attachment).  I also logged into the server via SSH and ran the following to capture the log once I tried to start the array (log tail.txt attachment).

 tail -f /var/log/syslog

I'm really at a loss as far as what is going on.  Any help is appreciated!

System specs

Core i7-4790k processor

32 GB DDR 3 ram

2x Samsung 850 evo 500gb SSDs for cache

4x WD Red 4TB drives (1 parity, 3 data)

Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 graphics card

unRAID 6.1.8

Windows 10 VM

various docker containers - plex, sabnzbd, sickbeard, etc. - i can come up with a full list if you need.

I tried rebooting into safe mode (no plugins), same results.  Again, any help is appreciated!
