March 10, 201610 yr Hi, I am registered and a new user to unRAID and have setup a 5 disk server but would like to preclear some more disks. If I try to download the script for this I am unable to as I see the message (The link for the attachment is only visible after you log in as a user of this forum) even though I am logged on. Do I have to make loads of posts before I am allowed to download? Many Thanks
March 10, 201610 yr In the top left, you should either see "Welcome, Guest. Please login or register" or "Hello mbc0". If the latter, there should be no problem seeing the download links and using them. Sometimes ad blockers interfere.
March 10, 201610 yr Author Hi Rob, I see "Hello mbc0" and I do not use adblockers... I am trying to download the preclear plugin that is all...
March 10, 201610 yr Hmm, you are the first user I've seen report this. Please try using a different browser, clearing history and cookies. The page seems to think you aren't logged in when you are.
March 10, 201610 yr Author Hi, I have done that, and now just tried on Microsoft Edge (Was using Chrome) but still the same?
March 10, 201610 yr Very Odd, even logged out I can download attached files. Even that particular attached post you screen shot'd
March 10, 201610 yr Very Odd, even logged out I can download attached files. Even that particular attached post you screen shot'd I wonder... is it possible that a cookie from another SMF backend site that the OP frequents is interfering? As a test, I opened a "New Private Window" in firefox, navigated to the forum, and it showed I was not currently logged in. I was still able to download the preclear script. mbc0, could you try opening a "New Incognito Window" in chrome (CTRL-SHIFT-N), and see if you can download the file without logging in?
March 11, 201610 yr Hi - I see the same red text you do. Just to check on the basics, though - the link to download the script is way at the bottom of the post (at least for me). It's a screen or more worth of scrolling since it's a long post. Pic attached...
March 11, 201610 yr I'm pretty sure that red message the OP is referring to isn't part of the forum software, as it appears for me too even when logged in.. it's just something Joe L. put in his notes right? Probably a legacy from the old forums. I suspect tdallen is right, the OP just needs to scroll down to the actual link.
March 11, 201610 yr Author Ah!! That was it!! I feel a little stupid now! Many Many Thanks... that was very frustrating
March 11, 201610 yr Glad you're all set. If you haven't tried it yet, take a look at the Pre-clear Plugin.
March 11, 201610 yr Author Thanks, I have downloaded both and just emptying some disks to put in the Server to try it out... Thanks for all your help
