TaylorM237
Hello UnRAID community, after watching some people toy around with UnRAID I decided to give it a whirl and slapped it onto my server; Intel Xeon E3-1220v2 8GB DDR3 ECC / U 12x Hitatchi 500GB 7,200RPM SATA drives connected to a LSI 9266-4i (Each disk is created as a individual RAID0 in attempt to get it to act as a JBOD array) Supermicro - X9SCL/X9SCM Motherboard Problem is, IOMMU is enabled, and under system devices it see's this, 00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation Xeon E3-1200 v2/Ivy Bridge DRAM Controller (rev 09) 00:01.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation Xeon E3-1200 v2/3rd Gen Core processor PCI Express Root Port (rev 09) 00:01.1 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation Xeon E3-1200 v2/3rd Gen Core processor PCI Express Root Port (rev 09) 00:19.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82579LM Gigabit Network Connection (rev 05) 00:1a.0 USB controller: Intel Corporation 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller #2 (rev 05) 00:1c.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family PCI Express Root Port 1 (rev b5) 00:1c.4 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family PCI Express Root Port 5 (rev b5) 00:1d.0 USB controller: Intel Corporation 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller #1 (rev 05) 00:1e.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation 82801 PCI Bridge (rev a5) 00:1f.0 ISA bridge: Intel Corporation C202 Chipset Family LPC Controller (rev 05) 00:1f.2 SATA controller: Intel Corporation 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller (rev 05) 00:1f.3 SMBus: Intel Corporation 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family SMBus Controller (rev 05) 02:00.0 RAID bus controller: LSI Logic / Symbios Logic MegaRAID SAS 2208 [Thunderbolt] (rev 05) 03:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82574L Gigabit Network Connection 04:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82574L Gigabit Network Connection 05:03.0 VGA compatible controller: Matrox Electronics Systems Ltd. MGA G200eW WPCM450 (rev 0a) On 02:00.0 the RAID card is detected, but under the "Main" tab, no disks can be found or assigned to the array. If someone could help me with this, that'd be fantastic! nxtiak
It's sort of pointless to have it in RAID0 and use unRAID. What are you planning on using unRAID for? Quote Link to comment
TaylorM237
My RAID Card doesn't support JBOD, so the only option was to push them into RAID0 (individual disks) to have the RAID Card hand it off to the OS. Quote Link to comment

mmgarci30
Hi mate To enable your board in JBOD you need to flash it to IT mode. Your HBA, LSI 9266-4i is based on a SAS2208 chip as you can check in this Server@home post. https://forums.servethehome.com/index.php?threads/lsi-raid-controller-and-hba-complete-listing-plus-oem-models.599/ So you can flash it to IT mode following the procedure for SAS2208 chips in this link https://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=12767.0 Quote Link to comment
