Issues Upgrading from 6.0-beta15 to 6.1.9

Featured Replies

Hello,

My unRAID server has been impressively stable since last summer, when I did my first install using 6.0-beta15.

I'm attempting to upgrade from 6.0-beta15 to 6.1.9 using the plugins menu through the web interface.

After clicking upgrade, I receive the following:

Update successful - PLEASE REBOOT YOUR SERVER
plugin: updated

After shutting down the array and rebooting the server, unRAID still reports that it's running 6.0-beta15.

Is 6.0-beta15 too far behind to update using the plugins menu? Is there something else I'm missing?

I'd rather not spin up a new installation just to upgrade to 6.1.9. I'd appreciate any help you guys could provide.

Thanks

Try again and get a diagnostic before rebooting.

Thanks for your quick reply. I've attempted the upgrade/reboot procedures about three times already. I'll go ahead and do it again - how do I grab a diagnostic?

edit 3: Sorry, I actually read through the link in your signature this time. Third time's a charm. I've attached the syslog.

Post complete syslog.

I apologize. Syslog is posted up above.

Don't see the point in trying to diagnose why b15 won't upgrade

Make a backup of bzimage and bzroot from the flash drive.

Download 6.1.9 manually from LT's website.  Open the zip file and copy bzimage and bzroot onto your flash drive.  (and make sure that your .key file is in the config folder of the flash drive (not in the root) -> this got enforced I think on 6.1rc

Mar 11 19:02:18 tdrvnas01 kernel: FAT-fs (sda1): Volume was not properly unmounted. Some data may be corrupt. Please run fsck.

Put your flash in your PC and let it checkdisk.

I'll try both of those when I get home. Thanks guys.
