Can´t get Network Connection

Featured Replies

Hello,

I can boot from the Unraid USB Stick, but i cant get the the Unraid Machine to Connect to the Network therefore im unable to connect vie "http://tower".

Im Using the Onboard functions of the ga-7besh-rh Mainboard, i tried using a Static Ip Addresse but it seems that unraid doesnt even know the onboard connections since the only listed network connection ist the loop.

I would be happy if anyone has an idea

Greetings Grandia

P.S: I also tried turning off WOL since it helped some other members, as well as using different usb drives und reinstalling

Just to check the obvious, have you tried both of the LAN connections on the board?

If you log in at the console then you can run the command

diagnostics

which will create a ZIP file in the 'logs' folder on the USB stick.  Posting that file here will give us a better chance of seeing what is happening on your system and thus providing useful help.

TIP:  If in doubt get the diagnostics file before asking any for any help on a feature not working.

Have you tried editing your network.cfg file on usb flash in config folder:

set use DHCP to yes, put flash back in server and reboot

# Generated settings:
USE_DHCP="yes"
IPADDR="192.168.X.XXX"
NETMASK="255.255.255.0"
GATEWAY="192.168.X.X"
DHCP_KEEPRESOLV="yes"

what does the command ifconfig produce?

are all of the lan ports plugged in?

Hello again,

Yeah i tried both ports they just Show a constant green light but no connection, and the network.cfg has DHCP enabled

Ifconfig Produces

lo: flags=73<Up,loopback,RUNNING> mtu 65536
            inet 127.0.0.1 netmask 255.0.0.0
            loop txqueuelen 0 (Local Loopback)

Disable Wake-on-LAN (WOL) in your BIOS. Someone else was having a similar problem lately.
