Realtek RTL8111G

Featured Replies

I am looking at building a small NAS using an MSI H81I motherboard, but it has a RTL8111G integrated network card, will this work without issues under the current version of UnRaid? I did a forum search but the results were inconclusive.

Also, anything else about this mini ITX motherboard standout?

Thanks

Anyone? Sorry, don't mean to be pushy, I may be buying this board today and don't want to if the Realtek NIC has issues with UnRaid.

Thanks

My BioStar Motherboard has a Realtek and has never appeared to have any problems since I've used it.

03:00.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller (rev 02)

I have a board with a Realtek RTL8111E, gave up on that one and bought an Intel Nic

I have an onboard RTL8112L NIC and experiencing issues since v6.

AFAIK unRAID is using the same driver for the RTL chips.

I'm confident that Limetech will get the issue fixed in one of the upcoming releases.

On the other had, they don't develop the drivers and have to use what Realtek delivers.

Therefore it's also possible that there won't be a fix at all... :-\

8111GR work fine in UnRAID.  As does the 8111E.
