High CPU usage / load for VMs?

Featured Replies

Not sure if this is by design or an issue with either unRAID or this specific install.

I'm seeing roughly 50% minimum cpu usage on the web interface and ~90% CPU usage minimum per VM in the top program in shell when both VM's are just sitting idle.

Is this normal or can I configure something to ease the load?

Try disabling the audio devices and see if it makes any difference, I'm having a similar issue.

Not sure what was the issue.

Rebooted both VMs yesterday, removed the onboard audio device from one of them, started up, cpu usage was ok. Added the audio device back again, cpu usage was still ok.

The other VM has an USB audio device connected to a passthrough USB controller so that shouldn't matter anyway.
