How do setup a RAID 5 configuration?

Featured Replies

I have 2 questions, first how do I setup RAID 5, and can I setup a second RAID 5?

I have unRAID V6.1.8

Thanks

unRAID is not RAID anything, the closest you can do is a BTRFS array with the cache pool.

The whole point of unRAID is to get away from RAID. You would have a data protection equivalent with one parity drive and two data drives, however, you wouldn't get the read/write speeds of a true RAID5 array.

Ok is there any way I can do a RAID 5 equivalent? when I setup paraty drive it just puts them in what appears to be RAID1

Did you bother to read the wiki link I gave? If not do so now and then come back with better questions.
