March 16, 201610 yr http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=46077.0 I paid $150 for CPU and RAM. Your remaining $350 would nicely cover a MB and cooler.
March 16, 201610 yr For 500 bucks you could get the $64 Intel Xeon E5-2670 v1 +64 gig of Rdimm + a $300 mobo, i think they where putting out 18000 marks.

September 7, 20169 yr Author Still looking at ideas for upgrade. Still think I want to go with the Intel Xeon E3-1230 v5 SkyLake 3.4 GHz 8 CPU but not sure on motherboard. I have 8 sata devices in my current unraid. two of them are on SYBA SI-PEX40064 PCI-Express 2.0 Low Profile Ready SATA III (6.0 Gb/s) Controller Card . Would it be better to find a compatible mb with 8 onboard satas? Suggestions on a board say at the $200 mark.
