USB install Stuck (Tried all available options)

Featured Replies

Hello. This is my first time using Unraid and need it for a project tomorrow morning.

I am stuck trying to install it to a USB device.

I check the format for FAT32

Volume label is UNRAID

I even tried using diskpart to reset the device as much as possible.

Every time i run mack_bootable.bat (windows 7) and press the key to continue, it just stops. I have waited over an hour for it to complete with no luck.

I have ran disk check, quick format, long format, bother versions listed on the site, rebooting, changing Allocation unit size (from 4096 to 16kb).

I cannot think of anything i am missing and have double checked everything i can think of to get this working.

Any help with this is appreciated.

Can you confirm that you ran make_bootable.bat as Administrator by right clicking on it and selecting the 'Run as Administrator' option.

There is obviously something wrong at the PC end for that not to be completing.  The obvious suggestion is try different USB ports.  Failing that I would try another PC.

Tried 3 PCs and multiple USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports.

Got no idea then!  You are the first person I have heard of with quite these symptoms.  It is as though something is blocking the write to the USB sticks, but what it could be I have no idea.
