Please specify device type with the -d option.

It's a Samsung SM951 256GB running on an Asus Maximus VIII Hero.

    This is a known issue because linux 'smartmontools' (smartctl command) does not support (yet) extracting SMART data from NVMe devices.  The most you can get is the temperature.
