March 19, 201610 yr Hey guys. New to this kind of stuff. I've always worked with ESXi or Hyper-V. I've got a problem. I can't connect to the Web GUI. They are in the same Subnet. Connection works via telnet. Web GUI isn't accessible via Chrome, IE or anything else. The only thing that works is telnet. Any suggestions to solve this problem? Thanks in advance!

The commonest cause for this is the USB stick being prepared wrong. To check this from a telnet session use the command ls /boot If the USB stick is correctly prepared then this will show the files/folders extracted from the ZIP download of unRAID. If it does not then it was probably not formatted to be FAT32.

It has been this the last few times such an issue was raised. The GUI is started from the file /boot/config/go on the USB stick which is why it is important it is formatted correctly as if it is not the USb stick does not get mounted and thus the 'go' file does not get run. Can you try the command ps -ef | grep emhttp as that would confirm if the GUI process (emhttp) was started correctly and is currently running. Another thing to try is diagnostics (also available via the GUI as Tools->Diagnostics if you had a running GUI) which if it completes OK will put a diagnostics ZIP file in the 'logs' folder on the USB stick. This is the best way to provide information when asking for help with v6 but I am not sure if you are getting far enough for this command to work as expected.
March 19, 201610 yr Tried it with another stick. Now works fine. Thanks itimpi Glad it is working. Any information (e.g. make, model) on the one that did not work as it might help if others have a similar problem.
March 19, 201610 yr Author Was a no-name stick which i've got years ago with 4GB. Now i'm using my even older Sony Stick with 1GB ^^

I was hoping there might be something that gives a clue as to why it was not working, but it does not sound like it does. It will probably remain one of those 'mysteries'
