Possible to move files from emmulated disk to another disk ?

I just lost an wd green 1.5TB disk in the raid, tested it out and it seem broken.

 

Is it possible to copy the files from the emmulated disk over to lets say another disk in the raid that have 5TB free on it ?

 

I guess i have to use the shrink array method to copy it over and make a new config without the broken disk.

 

If this will work i would be happy as i use all 12 slots on my motherboard and miss a slot for cache disk that i would free up for.

    Yes, you can copy the data off the emulated disk just as if it was really there.  However remember at this point you are not protected against another disk failing
